The code is release,scheduled for November 18, 2000 was temporarily placed on hold by the FCC until further notice. In recent Correspondence to the Commission, The Snac requested that the FCC allow the industry to determine the new release date for the 855 code, as previously done with 800,888,877 and 866 ERC's. This Would allow the industry time to insure a successful code implementation. Toll Free Number s in the existing 800,888,877 and 866 codes Are not estimated to exhaust until the year 2015, based on the current reservation rate of available numbers.
