How to become a so called "Hacker" By: AntiQ Of Liquid inc. Preface: I will start off this phile by stating why it is that I have written it. When I started to get in to hacking, I gabbed every piece of information that I could find. I have read a great quantity of what has been submitted on bbses, and on thousands of web pages acrost the internet. I had only one problem. It seemed that every text for nebies on how to be a hacker seemed so empty. Especially now that I am much more advanced and the things that I didn't read I have had to find out the hard way. I was very lucky that there was a local hack group, and I happened to be friends with 2 of the people out of it. So, when I decided to join the crew they gladly showed me the ropes. Don't ever expect that for yourself though. Most ELITE in the world if asked "how do I do this", would simply reply "go fuck yourself, figure it out yourself". Hacking is a pesonal thing, like masterbating, you do it but you don't talk about it, and no one shows you how to do it. Section 1: Things To Know Before Starting Out Ok, if you are going to become a hacker there are going to be many changes in your life. The first is YOU CANNOT TELL ANY ONE WHAT YOU ARE DOING. If you go against this cardinal rule, and you are doing anything illegal at all YOU WILL GET BUSTED. I'm not saying thaat if John Doe asks "hey how do you crack PGP man?" you can't explain it to him. I am saying that if you are going to go take down fucking Bill Gates, don't say shit to any one (even if it is just a small hack, it is still illegal). All phone communications are monitored in some form somewhere (believe it or not), and so if you are stupid and talk about shit you are not supposed to and someone hears (like some one using a Lineman's Handset in monitor mode) then you are fuct for good. Remember, if any one catches you hacking, you are done in for good. You will never come back if you are smart (most hackers don't) because from there on in you will be watched very closely. No matter how safe you may think you are, from there on in you ARE NOT and you are a danger to any one you associate with that hacks so don't get caught. Section 2: Things Every Newbie Should Know Don't do anything illegal before you get really good. Practice hacking legaly untill you get a really get good. Remember, you get caught once and you are gone for good. There are many ways to hack legally, and I will give you a decent list. 1: Get on MANY local bbses and talk to the sysops. Once you get to know them and think that you are good enough to hack a bbs, tell them that you think that they have a few security holes and that you would like to test them (legaly hack the bbs with consent of the owner). I have found that they are very happy to honor your request. Hack the fuck out of that bitch, and go brag to the sysop about all the flaws you have found in their system and give them tips on how to fix them (if you don't know how ask around for help, explain your situation to them and they will more than happy to help you). This will help you build a good reputation and sysops will get the word out about how you helped them out to other bbses (some sysops run more than one bbs, or help out on others). Then help all that you can (for practice of course), I'm not big on helping the community myself and I don't preach for you to either. 2: Go out and get warez of many O/Ses used by bbses and dialups, or even what your local company or school uses. Learn every thing about your new-found enviorments. Read many books on them, learn some basic programming on each. A few O/Ses that I would recommend are Ą Mac O/S (most current) Ą Mac O/S Server version Ą Windows (most current) Ą Dos if you don't already Ą Linux Ą Sun O/S Ą Unix Ą And many more!!! Set up your own security on your computer with each and learn how do defeat it. Don't only use one. The more you know the better (they will come in handy trust me). 3: Go work a computer store (preferably a specialty store). For every one that lives in AZ, Computer Town (The best Macintosh store I have ever been in). They have wonderfull prices and selection along with some of the most intelligent Mac users I have ever met. Anyways, working there you will have access to any thing you need, plus a phat discount! Section 3: Credit Card Fraud (carding) Carding is a common thing among hackers. I would not recommend it. Actually I would STRONGLY advise against it. It will fuck your shit up like you can't believe. My crew used to card every thing (my newbie days). We carded computers, computer parts, long distance, you name it. Then one day I ordered a pizza on a card one of my boyz had given me and a fucking cop showed up. I had a feeling that somthing was wrong so before he came and I got any illegal shit out of my apt quickly. Then this bitch came and tried to front on my ass. What a bitch! I could not really tell if he was a cop or not so I assumed he was. I was right, he kept asking me for a drivers license and the credit card I used (a dead give away). So to be safe I said a guy I met at circle k ordered it and that he had all that info, told them to take back the fucking pizza and that he was at the store getting beer and I would have him call them when he came back. From there on in I had to ditch the fucking FBI for months, 2 members of my crew busted for various shit (cellular cloning, unauthorised access to goverment systems and files). It turns out that the card had belonged to an important goverment official (a big fucking case $35,000 was charged to his account). I got cleared of any suspicion within a few months (after my sister verified my story). That was the last time I carded and I learned my lesson quick. That almost put a stop to my hacking. I had to quit for a year just to be safe. I recommend getting a job and paying for every thing legally, less heat on your ass to worry about. Section 4: Legal Shit (Important Shit) If you ever want to become ELITE you might want to take the advice in this section. If by any means you can avoid any illegal shit do it. Until you get REALLY good at hacking I would not recommend paricipating in any illegal activitys. Quit selling drugs, stollen cellular and computer equipment, quit smoking pot (I pesonally recommend alcohol, cops will just make you dump it out and maybe tell your parents if you have any). You need to keep the heat OFF you untill you can handle a fucking fire (not a fun experience trust me). Once you get more advanced you will be able to pick and choose which laws to follow and which to break for a greater cause. You may be saying I don't know what I'm talking about, think again. I have done or experienced every thing in this file except for getting busted for hacking. I know what the fuck I am talking about so soak up the wisdom I have applied in this phile apply it. The reason I feel it is so imperative to teach you newbies is because YOU are our future. I hope that someday you will be twice a ELITE as todays ever will be. This is the start of a new era, a dawn of a new generation, never forget who you are and what you are about. Section 5: Getting Needed Tools, Gadgets, And Supplys The best place I have found to find stuff is the swap-meet. Yes there is where you will find cheap screwdrivers, phones for making beige boxes, cellular equipment. If you go to the booths where there are cellphones talk to the person working there. 75% of the time they don't know an EeProm from a high school prom. But, I have found that if you find a peson that works there that knows a lot about them, you will be able to talk them into telling you where you can get stuff (even illegal hardware that is a must for every phreak). And sometimes they even have it in there trucks for personal use and you can use a little social engenering to swindle them out of it (or they charge you an arm and a leg). Another good place is radio shack (get a job there if you can). They have almost every thing you could need, and unlimited ordering capacity. But be carefull, never give your phone # and address in there no matter how cute the girl is that is behind the counter. If you do, they will have a log of what you buy (NOT GOOD) and you could be tracked by your purchaces. Plus if you go in there and buy a tone dialer and ask them to order a special crystal for you it will set off red flags for most employees (tell them that you are homeless, pay them up front for your order and give them a fake name and tell them you will be back to pick it up in a few days. So, be carefull of buying all the parts for a certian box all at once, it is like buying all the chemicals to make meth at one place under your name, very stupid and you will get busted. The next best thing to the Internet is books, and the best place to get books cheap besides Amazon.com is the library. You can even rip them off really easy or make an fake account there buy supplying fake id for the registration of your library card (I will write a phile on it for you in detail). I would recommend that you make a fake account even if you are not going to rip off 30 books because that way no one can track the books you read (a dead giveaway). To get US West gadgets (every hacker would love some) which are hard to get, I will tell you in seperate phile that I will write soon. Closing Remember, every hacker has to have a some phreak in him, learn it use the knowledge. Hacking is a way of life. Not done in a day, and not finished in a thousand years. Technology is constantly evolving and so must you. Never give up the liberation of information you deserve to posess. Peace.
