Many people believed that : Jesus was the Son of God. : 8) both had followers which were persecuted by the State : 9) JC was crucified during Passover / DK's siege was during Passover Even though there are a few similarities, yet there are a lot of differences: 1) Jesus had thousands of followers. Koresh had a handfull. 2) Jesus performed many miracles including raising up the dead. Koresh performed no miracles, and he killed many inoccent people and children by his corrupt teaching; and his refusal to surrender. 3) Jesus carried no weapons, or his disciples. Koresh and his followers used machine guns to defend the compound and killed 4 Agents. 4) Jesus obeyed government authority Koresh ignored it. 5) Jesus had no home to stay in. Koresh stayed in the compound. 6) Jesus resurrected from the dead after 3 days. Koresh died, and I don't think he's getting up. 7) Jesus appeared to the disciples after his death. 8) Jesus had messengers and prophets who told about his coming (ie John the Baptist). 9) Jesus was publicly humiliated and crucified. Koresh was somewhere in that compound. ....Many more examples. : Probably most Christians dismiss Koresh as a nut, but does anyone : believe the Apocalypse in Waco was actually a fulfillment of some of : the prophecies of Revelations? it is a fulfillment of the prophesy, that there will be false Messiahs. That was a very interesting article Rick. -- Abram
