Motion Switch by Cabbage Truck I am not responsible for anything you use this switch for. This is purely for the sake of the information gained. This switch is handy for detonating explosives when two surfaces are moved like a drawer, box lid, locker door, or even a normal door. How to make it: When you have your wires set up for your detonating device (hooked up to the battery, but not to the detonator), cut one of the wires inhalf between the negative terminal of the battery and the detonator. Strip about 1 inch of insulation off each end of the wires. Lay them both side by side. Take one wire and make a loop out of the bare inch around the other wire. Make sure the entire loop is made up of bare wire. Strip extra insulation as necessary. Also make sure that the loop is around the insulated part of the other wire so you don't blow your self up. Now take the end of the other wire and make a loop of the non-insulated end around the insulated part of the other wire just like you did with the other one. Here is a diagram: | |++++|++++++++++++++->to negative terminal of battery to detonator<-+++++++++++|++++| | + Insulated wire | Uninsulated loop Of course you need a normal insulated wire going from the positive terminal of the battery to the detonator. Now, if the two wires were pulled in opposite directions, the two bare loops would connect and the circuit would be complete. This is handy for wiring drawers as one wire can be secured to the inside of the drawer and the other can be secured to a non moving part next to it. Or the inside of a box and the lid. You get the idea, be creative...
