Music teacher Marinela Brankova from Vidin and 18-year-old student Victoria Petrova from Rousse demonstrated their ability to stick to their palms objects of different sizes, made of various material, and to unstick them in an order prompted by an audience of Europeans and Tibetans. "We were the hit of the congress," said Ivan Andreev, President of the International Centre of Ecological Medicine, returning from a congress on parapsychology and energy therapy in Bari (Italy). Andreev further stunned the 500 participants with a report on the magnetism of the Bulgarian land, the importance of the country's sacred places and studies of those places. Impressed by the Bulgarian women's abilities, Dr Nicolo Cutolo, Baron of the Order of Malta, invited them to be his guests during their stay in Italy. Find out more about the Magnetic Palm contest organized by the Antiba Society ONLY in "Dialog" today and in our next issues. Entering the Guinness Book of Records: Poor but Magnet-Handed Dialog Newspaper Forks and spoons on the eyelids and the forehead, tweezers hanging from the ear, bottles of vinegar and mineral water sticking to the palm, irons on the chest: these are not scenes of a science fiction film but part of the acts shown at the Magnetic Palm competition organized by the Antiba Society. (Antiba is an acronym for Andreev-Tibet-Bulgaria.) Some 300 psychics from all over Bulgaria gathered. Most of them came from Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Vidin and Dobrich, which are among the country's stronger biozones. There were two highly authoritative juries. The first jury consisted of Mr Ivan Andreev, Manager of the Antiba Society, the editor-in-chief of the "Dialog" newspaper, the first to popularize the Bulgarians' magnetic abilities, and Bulgarian-born Penny Kangas, a charming American businesswoman. The second jury consisted of psychics, a Tibetan and Senior Research Associate Stoyu Stoev, Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian Society of Psychotronics. The first test of the participants' magnetism were measuring instruments. Having passed this test, they were entered for different events: strongest magnetism in the under-10 age group, sticking objects to one's palm, to the chest and back, through some material, on one's palm in water, to a horizontally held palm, unsticking and moving objects. Finally, all participants got together to set a record for the Guinness Book of World Records. One after another, the superfields appeared on the stage. In the intervals Dr Dora Boneva drew up horoscopes. A man set a Bulgarian record by holding a weight of 13.950 kg stuck to his palm. Tanya from Pazardjik held a weight of 10.260 kg. She said that she had been healing people and doing all kinds of things, except mathematics, for five years. Magdalena stuck 83 metal objects to her body. A man in shorts was jumping on the stage with a weight of 12.300 kg on his chest. We saw all kinds of things in short supply, such as cooking oil and vinegar, stick to the palms of the superfields. This is the first competition of the Magnetic Palm circuit. There will be more in the future. The only thing is that bread was hard to come by in Sofia that day. P.S. Marinela Brankova, 32, won the Grand Prix of the first competition. A bid for entry into the Guinness Book of World Records: 305 superfields get together in one place!
