It should be read by anyone who wishes to post to the comp.periphs.scsi newsgroup. Xref: senator-bedfellow.mit.edu comp.periphs.scsi:109373 comp.answers:30724 news.answers:126833 Archive-name: scsi-faq/part2 Posting-Frequency: monthly Last-modified: 1997/02/26 The content of this file has changed completely. I have put both halves of the FAQ into part 1. Each half had gotten to be larger than 64k anyway so the reason for splitting it in the first place no longer makes sense. Part 2 (which you're reading now) will now be a small file explaining where to get an HTML version of the SCSI FAQ. I don't want to publish the HTML version in the comp.periphs.scsi newsgroup directly due to its size (over 250 kB). If no further requests for the text version are forthcoming however, I may start posting the HTML version instead of the text version. Initially, I will serve the HTML version from my own Web server. After a few months I hope other servers will mirror it for me to lower the load on my server (just a P133 PC in my cellar). If you would be able to do this, please let me know. Also, the HTML version still may have a few quirks, so please be patient. Meanwhile you can get the new HTML version from: http://fieldnet.ne.mediaone.net/gary/scsi.html Gary Field -- --/* Gary Field - WA1GRC, Digital Equipment Corp., 110 Spit Brook Rd M/S ZKO3-3/T79, Nashua, NH 03062-2698, phone: (603) 884-2543 email: gfield@zk3.dec.com http://fieldnet.ne.mediaone.net/ TZ=EST5EDT My wife says I don't listen to her; At least I think that's what she said. */
