I, PROFESSOR WOLFGANG EISENMENGER, M.D., Professor for forensic medicine of the University of Munich and Director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, do solemnly and sincerely declare as follows:
- I am a full professor for forensic medicine of the University of Munich and Director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine, 80337 Munich, Frauenlobstr 7a. A copy of my curriculum vitae is now produced and shown to me marked "WE1".
- I make this declaration in connection with the death of Rudolph Hess on 17th August 1987.
- On 21st August 1987 I conducted a post-mortem examination of Rudolph Hess together with my colleague Professor Dr. Spann.
- I have read the statutory declaration made by Professor Dr. Spann and the contents of it are true to the best of my knowledge and belief. I am in full agreement with the opinions he expresses therein about the way in which Hess died.
