He killed people instead of animals because it was more fun for him. He said animals do not reason like people and are easy to hunt. Ivan was his servant that followed him around all the time, and helped hunting. THE PASSIBILITY OF EVIL shirley jackson -old lady loved her flowers, flowers got smashed at the end of the story -wrote letters to people through out the town she lived in. -thought that she had to let people know about the evil that was going on in her town; she thought she was doing good, but really she made the town go nuts. -everyone in town respected her, she new the names of everyone in the town. Miss strange worth was liked by everyone in her mall town, as she walked down streets everyone who knew her would stop and say “hello” or something. Miss Strange worth lived in a very old house which her fathers father owned and built himself. In front of her house was a huge pile of roses that her mothers mother planted. Everything had to be perfect when she was around. Her house was perfect, her clothes were, and the notes she took were perfect. She would write notes to people in the town that would aware them of bad things that happened in he town, also she asked questions that would make the reader suspicious of some other person in the town. She thought she was saving the town from evil. But when the towns people found out, they destroyed her roses. THE RANSOM OF RED CHIEF O. henry -father and mother did not like their child -Red chief threw rocks at cats and was a menace -kidnappers did not get the ransom, they wanted to get rid of the red chf. -father made them pay to give the kid back -author used humor in the story THE SNIPER -liam O’flaherty two snipers fire at each other. One gets hit in the arm, but does not die, then came up with a plan to kill the other sniper that was across the roof. He pretended to be dead, then shot the other sniper. He felt guilty. Then went to check out who he had killed after the sniper’s body fell to the street. A machine gun fired at him, but missed, the sniper fell, and saw that he had killed his brother. THE SCARLET IBIS-james hurst -deformed kid named doodle by his brother. -doodle and his brother had to always be with each other, so doodles brother teaches him how to walk. The parents and aunt are very happy. But before he learned how to walk his brother did not so nice things to him, he showed doodle his coffin, yelled a doodle to walk and other stuff. Then they were both at a river, where a storm came, and doodles brother ran faster then him, doodle fell, and died because of his brother.
