Any body ever tried this. Use a standard adjustable 50 watt fishtank heater The submursable kind where the haeat coil is on the end of the wire seprate from the controll. Heat the water to what ever. Ive been using HOT water for the humidifier , makes the chamber real nice looking and fealing for a while , untill the water cool that is. Was just wondering. I might try it. Damn i need a digital camera.

I put hot water in my cool mist a couple of times and it fogs up the terrarium real nice, but I don't think its long enough to make a difference. I have since placed my cool mist nice and close to my heater, I think that helps to keep the right temp in my terrarium. I am still having trouble keeping my humidity ideal, but I think most strains will fruit in less than perfect conditions any way.

why not just use a warm mist humidifier if you are gonna go through the trouble of trying to heat it

well I think the point is that jsut putting warm water in the cool mist will fill your terrarium with a lot of humidty, but It won't last at least for me it didn't, I put perlite in the bottom and run the coolmist and its going better.

Psst Kman the tank heater is supose to to KEEP the water hot or at least warm/hot . I want to keep that fog its high humidity but very fine particals. Best hand sprayer ive found yet is a unused perfume bottle. There mint to super particulate liquid. The ones you can buy to put perfume into the fancy thingers.

an atomizer, i believe they are called... i use an ultra-sonic filtered through a 2.5 gallon jug and a one gallon jug, and that keeps the humidity right about 92%...... without the filters, though... its right about 99%... why not just use one of those... mine only cost me 20 bones

plinkerdink420, how do you have your ultra sonic setup? I read that there can be problems with over saturation if your not careful. I'm guessing you have it on a timer if so what kind of schedule?

Ive got one of those on my setup in combination with my cool mist . The ultrasonic runs 4 times a day for 2 min. Keeps humidity up. My origanal thinking here was for warming a grow chamber with the cool mist humidifier to 74 and keeping it there . It just seems more like a natural source of humidity . Warm humid air is better than cold humid air isnt it?

i just have mine pumping through... about four feet of 3/4" tubing up into a 2.5 gallon water jug... then about 18" into a one gallon water jug... then another 3-3 1/2 feet of tubing into the bottom of my terrarium... i leave it running 24/7 and it keeps it right in the ballpark... it's a sunbeam btw... got it for 20 bones at a local grocery store... about a 2.5 gallon resevior... only fill it like once a week or so
