Before I inoculate PF jars from having sat spore syringes, I've been alcohol flamin' the needle to glowin'...would just alcohol-swabbing the needle be OK? Is there such a thing as alcohol residue post the quick evaporation?...swab the needle and lay it in a flame real quick maybe to be sure..Be a little easier, always searching for that..

that's fine. i just dip the needle in alcohol briefly then flame it dry. only as needed, no real need to glow the needle at every hole.
in between jars, i let the syringe dangle in a bottle of rubbing alcohol as i prepare the next jar.

I pretty much just flame glow it once and than innoculate the 8-9 jars... I usually end up with 1 in 40 jars contaminating during the colonizing stage...

I put the rubbing alcohol ontop of the bottom of a coke can and I flame my needle till it gets cherry red then I squirt out just a little liquid. After every 6 jars I sterlize it again.
