Why do we get aborts. Is it insufficent water?
|By Dr. Cubensis (Shroomzilla) on Friday, January 11, 2002 - 05:48 pm:|
Just nature of the beast....
Bluing of your shrooms can mean insufficient water...
As Quote sez " YOU will ALWAYS Get aborts "
Just the way it is dude...
My friend has several film canisters of aborts...
Not sure what to do with them, maybe save them for a special occasion, or smoke them

I don't think that smoking abhorts or shrooms for that matter would do you much good. As soon as the magic reaches 105F it starts to break down and I think in the end of a pipe it'll reach 105F pretty darn quick. I have talked to a few people that tried smoking some shrooms, said they didn't get much out of it except a bad taste. Good luck anyway tho = )

I have had some luck with smoking shrooms. I have also had it do nothing. The problem is that it takes a few bowls to smoke a gram or so and it gets really gross. When it has worked it is kind of like a mini-trip. Definitly not an efficient way to dose though. I've wanted to smoke a few grams but it's not that easy. If you are going to try it you want to use aborts. Try mixing some ground aborts with some clove tobacco for the taste. I wouldn't recommend mixing it with weed because it is hard to tell if the shrooms are working once you're stoned.

You could try a vaporizer. Maybe try vaporizing a couple of grams of ground powder?

smoking amanitas actually isn't bad... i know i've talked trash about this mushroom before, but that was eating it... smoking it with a little pot is actually quite nice... enhances the mj high and makes it last longer

Aborts are just the genes' way of admitting mistakes. It starts to grow a sporocarp, something's not quite right, and it stops. Not really a big deal. Our bodies do the same thing, we just grow slower. It is the ebb and flow of cellular growth and destruction. People get lumps of tissue that go away and such. This usually happens with more sensitive tissues, like the lining of our orifices (lips, anal and vaginal canals, inside the mouth, etc.). The tissue of a fungus is very sensitive. Usually, you will see less aborts with a good casing because it acts like a "skin" to shield the mycelial tissues from the onslaught of external stimuli. Protected parts are less subject to mutation.
BTW, aborts are absolutely replete with magic! They're better than the big ones when it comes to potency 99% of the time. Dr. Cubensis, you don't need to treat them any different! Just remember that they are going to be stronger than your normal mushrooms!
And, yes, it has been discussed that smoking mushrooms does different things for different people. Those that are reporting effects from this practice I suspect are probably vaporizing the active principles inadvertently. It is possible, for the vaporization points of such materials are often just barely lower than their points of destruction. Try just slowly heating chopped, fresh mushies and inhaling the vapors. This may carry a bit of the P-cybin and 'cin in the water vapor, provided their vaporization points (water and alkaloids) are within 20 degrees C of each other.

after many experiments, i concluded that smoking shrooms is marginal at best.
the buzz only lasts a couple seconds,
and it tastes like burning plastic.
don't waste your time, imo.
