Not to disappoint anyone but again I bring this to the attention of the members of the
There are no Hawaiian cubensis mushrooms occuring naturally intyhe hawaiian archipelgo. Only Copelandia species grow there naturally along witht the not so common Panaeolus subbalteatus, the latter occuring in restricted areas of the islands and the Copelandia's predominating the pastures of Hawaii, Maui, Kuaui, Oahu, Lania and Molokai.
P. cubensis sold from Exotica Pacifica Spora and other companies as Hawaiian strains are most like all from Mexican or southeastern Florida to Texas races of this species.
I always bring this up becasue this is a problem in Amsterdam where many stores sell mushrooms or sproes of specise which they known nothing about. Many Amsterdam Smart Shops sell spores for Psilocybe mexicanus, a non-existing species which 99% of the time are nothing more than PSilocybe cubensis. They do sometimes sell P. mexicana prints which turn out to be Psilocybe cubensis and vice-versa.
To the Amsterdam Spore vendors, Including the people who advertise Psilocybe cyanescens as the Hawaiian strain of P. cubensis. I called these peopl on this a few years back.. They were moving their email addresses everytime someone brought this to their attention. And today they continue to advertise this mushroom as fr4om Hawaii.
Copelandia cyanescens, C. cambodgeniensis, C. tropicalis, C. bispora, C. anomala and Pn. subbalteatus ae the only psychoactive Psilocybes found inthe Hawaiian Isalnds.
Oh yes and have a shroomy day and a happy new year

i just started my 1st batch of arcadians recently, but haven't fruited any yet.
my 1st suggestion would be to dunk them, then double-end case them, as per pf's method.

Are you sure your humidity is high enough? what are you using? how long were they colonizing for?
|By kappy pappy (Kappy) on Friday, December 21, 2001 - 01:01 am:|
a cool mist humidifier and my humidity reads 95% percent but it's a cheapy gauge so it could be anything above that..i was just wondering if too much is harmful? or would stall them..
|By Cragith Kilbonith (Kilborn) on Friday, December 21, 2001 - 01:59 am:|
no its not harmful and no it wont stall, you want a high humidity for cakes, and thats what you have best of luck bro.
