Anyone know if the magic would spread to the booze if you put shrooms in rum or vodka? I've never heard of such a thing but the blue honey threads in the archives got me thinking. (As you may know, shrooms in honey reportedly makes the honey itself quite magic.)

yes, indeed. You can use alcohol (preferably the highest concentration you can get--moonshine or Everclear works well) to extract the psilocybin from powdered shrooms...just put the shroom powder in the alcohol, shake vigorously every hour for 6 hours, strain, pour off the liquor into a broad pan or tray, and let the alcohol evaporate. The resulting goo contains most of the psilocybin in the shrooms. Then you can take the pulp and put it with more alcohol and repeat the process, pouring into another tray, or even the same one. Some say do it several times to get all the good stuff out.

You can put whole shrooms in a bottle of rum or whiskey or whatever, and in time the booze will be shroomy; or you can powder the shrooms and put them in a teabag in place of the tea...just pop the staple, empty the tea, fill er up w/shroom powder, and staple or tie it off, and drop the teabag into the bottle. Naturally, the stronger the booze, the quicker the shroom stuff will leach into it.

well, you get a concentrated goo that can be loaded into gelcaps. I have never done this, nor eaten the final product, so you'll have to try it unless someone else here has done it. Which is entirely possible. BTW, you can make hash oil the same way using pot leaves and buds

have u ever made hash oil before lichen? how much pot must one use? how do you get the hash oil out of the pan? how much pot would u suggest using and how much oil should i get from all of this.
iv been wanting some hash oil for a long time now :D i had a little a month or 2 ago with a little hash on top with the best tasting funk iv ever had :) i was baked before the iowa basic tests.

you need to use quite a lot of it to get anywhere. An ounce of buds will get you a few grams of hashoil. It's a good way to go if you have tons of leaf from a huge plant.
Once the stuff is settled and all the alcohol is gone, scrape the tray with a razor. Best thing to use is a glass tray, or a casserole dish.

Caution: if you use lame weed, you'll get funky tasting oil. If you use really good stuff, the oil will be nice. I think this is a similar process to making honey oil...but I'm not sure how to refine it so it's crystal clear

what about a fungenwiesen? shroom beer... if one were to add shrooms to beer would the fermenting destroy the psilocin? ...... i mean in the brewing process, not just dumping them into your beer

Try Shroom Shooting

It's possible to make shroom tea strong enough that a shot would equal a gram of shrooms(roughly). Mix it up so you have say... a fifth of tea that strong, you can make a pint, a half gallon, whatever you want. I forget the exact amount of shots in a pint, but just do the math.

Get 2 or 3 buddies, and you each take a shot every 8 minutes(my friend tried 10 minutes, and it seemed to move kinda slow at first). After a half hour or so, your friends will start to get weird, and some won't want to take shots anymore, which is cool, ya know... whatever. But here is where the real fun begins.

Everyone is free to drop out at anytime. But the last person still taking shots takes home what is left of the bottle(if they even want it at that point haha). I have seen people drink nearly a half in mushrooms... and by the end, there wasn't much to win anyway. Its a crazy game, because people will start acting real weird, real quick.

*Note* You shouldn't play this game unless you've had some experience with mushrooms. Be careful.

About the hash oil, there's an easier way to get a more potent product. It's called bubblehash using a very simple ice water extraction method. Just go to a search engine (Yahoo!) and type in bubble hash or bubble bags.

Plink, I make mead 5 gals at a time. It usually yields about 48-50 12 oz. bottles. Now I'm not sure exactly what kind of dosage I would want in one bottle, but remember, mead is usually fairly sweet and has a very high alcohol content. I personally only drink a bottle or two at a time.
I can drink all the India Pale Ale you sit in front of me, though.

I gathered about 75gms of freshies from that trusty pasture, washed them and let em fan dry for a day to reduce the volume a bit. Then I cut em all up (they were big ol' paddysitters) and put em in a clean bottle. Next I poured about 600ml of amber cachaça, a strong Brazilian rum over it all and sealed it well. After only an hour, despite the amber liquor, the cachaça had already become an inky blue. Just as I had hoped. I figure I'll save it for the winter which won't start down here for about 10 more months but when these things won't be so plentiful as now. (The roadside cubies are so plentiful you can often just drive alojng the county road and stop for em as you see their golden heads--recently got a couple ounces that way in a very short time.) Do you think I'll eventually be able to drink the contents without worrying that a good amount is still in the mushie remains?

be sure to either store it in the dark, or an opaque bottle. light will break down the magic once it's in solution.
just wring out the spent shrooms, virtually all the magic will dissolve into liquor.
