I see Nan's got a copy of a board about muriatic ayahuasca brewing. Last batch i made was w/ lemon juice, and was AWESOME effects-wise, but caused one of my friends to lose his lunch and was straight up NASTY. So I'm trying the pool-grade stuff, and was unsure after reading the posts whether the upshot was to brew with hcl or not to brew. so if any of you shroomy cats double as analogueros, I'd love your input.

I use it. Quote is likely to say there is a chance of impurities. You can test your pool cleaner HCL by placing a few drops of the acid in a watch glass and drying (direct sun, over desiccant [do not reuse])... If it leaves residue then you question. The gallon jug I bought years ago tested clean... All water and HCL evapped off cleanly.

pretty common to get sick off lemon-juice ayahuasca, i know i did.
follow nan's suggestion, the hcl extraction works fine.

North American Yage (aka Cheapohuasca)
2-3g Syrian rue (pretty cheap I got mine from Peruvian Journey $12 s+h included/ 100g, comes out to about 30 cents or so a dose)
7g Mimosa Hostilis ($23 for 30g - $96 for 250g shipping included from Cielo Ethnobotanicals) Everywhere I've read that you need at least 10g of Mimosa, but the stuff i got from Cielo was unbelievable (I've 250g coming my way as we speak)
If you can drink a medium quantity of booze without throwing up, you can definitely handle 'huasca. I tried some of my rue brew with hcl and it was MUCH more palatable than the lemon juice.
This stuff rocks. Hands down my favorite experience (no offense to the shrumz, but huasca just has that certain je ne sais quoi). Plus, no one, including authorities, really knows or cares about it, so you can sit on a park bench sipping a nice tea without anyone giving it a second thought.
