How did the week go? As I recall, your wife was doing well from one subrec. dose. How are things progressing? I'd love to hear from you.

hmmm. i answered this yesterday, but my post seems to have been abducted, so i will respond again. very strange, tho....

My wife dosed again the sunday after we left. It was the first time after her first dose that she had any pain, and she didn't recognize the symptoms at first, and we didn't have the shrooms with us, had to return to where we stayed, so she was in pain before she dosed. fortunately the effects of the shrooms come quickly, and within 40 min of dosing the pain was gone. now she knows what to look for, and there is ample time to dose when the first symptoms arise to prevent most of the pain in the future. she also dosed this past sunday because she started to feel those symptoms, one of which is a telltale pressure. from what we have read the third dose typically does the trick for the first few months, so we shall see.
from reading pink shark marks' post we think that maybe she should have started with a larger dose. she is chronic, and until this has had pain nearly every day for a little over a year, sometimes totally disabeling her for hours at a time. she would lay there and cry. each and every tear ripped me apart. it's a very helpless feeling. demerol, soma's nothing helped. we were at the end of our rope, so this is a true blessing for her. it makes me sick that something so benificial to some (and pleasurable to others, while i need no further incentive to grow than to rid my wife of her pain i see no reason to not enjoy them myself) and which has no side affects would be made illegal. especially when alcohol and cigarettes, each of which kill thousands yearly, continue to be sold throughout the country.

Good to hear from you. I am encouraged to hear from Pink that long term dosing does not seem to diminish the effectiveness of the medicine. It sounds like you guys are well on your way. You are right, the best way to treat is with small doses when symptoms come on (after a single larger dose at the onset of a cycle; or peak for chronics). (that tell-tale pressure is a VERY common sign)
We really do have a unique gift here at MYCOTOPIA with the arrival of pinksharkmark. He is the most visible advcocate for CH sufferers using this medicine. We should thank him.
Purge, I second those thoughts on the perverted way that we think about drugs in our country. You two know now more than ever that this is so. I would think that these experiences have permanently altered the way you think about "recreational drugs".
I'm so glad that you and your wife have been able to fight CH together. Shrooms have saved so much potential from being lost. It is a shame that not everyone knows about this cure...

It is a shame the very government that 'protects' us as consumers taxes dangerously acceptable drugs like alcohol and cigarettes to profit from the widespread social acceptance of them. The same people that keep relatively non-lethal drugs like pot and shrooms criminalized are the same people who use their political clout to keep out of jail for dui offenses.

Drunken bastards.

Not that I wish alcohol to be made illegal, but unfortunately, there is another side to drugs in that fighting them provides revenue from a different source, for a different part of the government.

I am saddened that this chapter of our evolution should be so difficult. I sometimes long to live back in a time when you worked all day to support yourself by hunting for food, and building shelter. It may have been difficult, but it makes much more sense in a big picture kind of way. At least in that lifestyle humans lived as a part of nature, rather than at odds with nature.

Ever wonder if cluster headaches existed when there weren't drugs for every ailment under the sun, billions of machines pumping out carcingenic wastes, and thousands of toxins flowing in nearly every fresh water source?
