Aalice.250 net.sport.baseball utzoo!decvax!ucbvax!mhtsa!alice!sjb Wed Dec 16 21:36:13 1981 Guidry Contract The New York Times reported that, although nothing about that topic was said at the news conference, Guidry's agent did not dispute reports that the contract was for $900,000 per year for four years, with a one year option after that (plus a signing bonus). The Courier News (local to this area of NJ) said it was $1M per year. There is also (this by the Courier now) a clause that says Guidry can dictate what teams he may be dealt to. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
