I don't know too many details, but as I understand it one of the engines for Challenger blew up durring a test firing last week. The engine was about 1.5 minutes into a 2 minute test firing at 109% of engine thrust. (I never have liked it when people use numbers greater than 100%...) The engineers suspect one of the fuel pumps (I think) was the cause of the disaster since it was slightly hotter than expected just prior to the explosion.
