Ayale-com.697 net.general,net.news.group utcsrgv!utzoo!decvax!yale-com!hawley Fri Jan 15 09:20:49 1982 net.travel -- a new group for travelers [I sent this out on Dec 23, but saw no response; since our system went down moments later, I assume no one saw it, and try again.] Is anybody interested in a new group -- "net.travel" -- for discussing things of interest to travelers? Lots of folks go places -- explorers, business people, even computer duffers. A "travel" newsgroup could provide a really handy forum for discussing problems like: where to go, how to get there, when to go there, what to do there, how much it'll cost, whether or not there is an air controller's strike or a political coup going on there... The travel question that is currently foremost in my mind is, "Can you drive close enough to the Mistissini river to canoe it, or do you have to stop the car at Chibougamau, and settle for a trip on the Choumouchouane?" Remember, All further discussion about this group should now take place in net.news.group.
