As I understand it (this happened to me once!), one of the first things rogue does is to write the time to the file. There is then a margin (I think around 15 seconds but am not sure) in which the last change of the i-node time can match the time written to it. Bad thing: If the system is loaded, it is easy for rogue to take longer than this margin to complete the file -- result, it thinks you've cheated.
