Auwvax.247 net.cooks utcsrgv!utzoo!decvax!ucbvax!ihnss!houxi!houxr!houxe!lime!vax135!harpo!uwvax!rick Wed Mar 10 09:17:31 1982 Passover Kugel APPLE-MATZAH KUGEL 6 matzahs 3/8 c melted margarine (3/4 stick) 4 eggs 1.5 t cinnamon .75 t salt .75 c raisins .75 c sugar 1 c chunky applesauce Break matzahs into pieces and soak until soft; drain, but don't squeeze dry. Beat eggs and salt thoroughly. Add sugar, margarine, and cinnamon, and add to matzahs. Stir in raisins and applesauce. Turn into a 10-inch casserole, dot with additional margarine, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350 F (325 if you're using Corningware) for 45 minutes, or until lightly browned. This Passover recipe has always gotten nice comments.
