But he graduated last June and I'm not sure if mail is being forwarded - he's now at Tektronix. I imagine that IBM and CDC systems will have a lot of trouble using a full duplex editor on half duplex hardware, however. I know that Harvard has had TECO running on UNIX for years. But it's written in PDP-11 assembly language.
