Here are some things you can do to people that really piss you off. Unfortunately, they require that you have that person's password on their Unix (or Linux or whatever) account. But that's nothing a keystroke grabber can't fix ;-) One of the obvious things is to change their plan to something offensive and degrading. This may seem a little boring, but it's not very common for somebody to finger themselves (with Unix, at least) on a regular basis, so this can go unnoticed for quite some time. This is as simple as getting into their directory and typing "pico .plan" If you're looking for something a little more exciting, go to their home directory and type "pico .login" In some line of this file type: echo "I miss you" | mail [account name] Any message will do, as will any e-mail address. Now whenever they login, they will unknowingly send an e-mail to, prefereably, the sys-admin, although it could be to anybody. This is great for somebody who spends a lot of time on the server, usually with multiple connections. Depending on how far you'll go to annoy somebody, there's one more great trick. While in their directory, type "pico .forward" and put the e-mail addresses of some popular mailing lists into this file, maybe even their parents' e-mail address. This can lead to some really interesting developments. In case you're wondering: yes, I did this stuff to somebody who REALLY pissed me off. Trust me, he had it coming. And that thing about the plan being the least noticeable change? Well, it's been several weeks, and he still hasn't changed it back ;-) These may be a little impractical since you need somebody password to mess with them, but I'm sure it at least amused you. Have fun....
