Earlier I posted a Windows95 keyboard shortcut for the creating of New Folders within the Open/Save dialog boxes; it was Alt-5, but it only worked with the "expanded" Open/Save dialog boxes (which showed 5 large Folder Icons on the left, vertically, Excel 2000 will give you this.) This didn't work for the simpler Open/Save dialog boxes such as the ones used with Notepad. This dialog box shows 4 buttons lined across the top-right, but the keyboard cannot access these buttons. (goto parent directory, create new folder, list filenames, list with details) You can do any of these buttoned functions by Tabbing (or shift tab) so that the focus is on the listing area and then pressing Shift-F10, which is the equivelent of right-clicking the mouse. From there it will display a drop-down menu that varies depending if you have a file selected or not. Gadzooks! -why don't they tell you this??!!! -Bill
