Date: 18 Jan 00 21:28:04 EST MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Dear Poqet users community, I have been using the HP 200LX palmtop for several years, but always wanted to get a real DOS-compatible palmtop with touch-type keyboard and large screen (for working with DOS apps). The 200LX is a marvellous computer, but unfortunately it does not meet that important features I'd like to see in any palmtop. About three year ago, I read about the Poqet but could not get one. In last days, while searching for old computers in eBay, I found some Poqet PC Plus. Since this model is better than the Classic Poqet, it has appealed me and I am seriously considering to buy one in eBay or in Cadigital. That is why I have subscribed to your mailing list: I want to learn more about the little Poqet, so that I can take the right decision. Should I buy the Poqet PC Plus? Please, help me!! Among my worries is: How can I print to a parallel printer? Is there perhaps any parallel printer cable that can be inserted in PC Card slot? I'll be grateful for any help or advice you can give me!! Then boot from a DOS diskette in A:. Likely you can even have your POQET software on the same boot disk. You can then access the data files from WINDOZE or DOS on subsequent reboots. Date: Wed, 19 Jan 2000 15:49:22 +1100 (EST) hi alberto, I have been a LX user for more than 2 years now. I had a Poqet clasic and a plus for some time. The great things with a plus is the large backlight screen and the large and good keyboard. Also, it's great to have 2 pcmcia slots. great also, the printer port (but only if you have the adaptor). same with the serial port. Now, the raison I like the 200LX are all the free and powerfull program you can find for it. also the size(I can cary it every where). AND AND the AUTONOMIE!!!!!! The autonomie of the Plus is only 2hours!!!!! regards Al >From: Alberto Wong >Subject: Should I buy a Poqet PC Plus? >Date: 18 Jan 00 21:28:04 EST >To: poqetpc@xxxxxxxx Re: Should I buy a Poqet PC Plus? by Virtual Bob From: Virtual Bob Subject: Re: Should I buy a Poqet PC Plus? It has been discontinued, but some dealers still have several left. It's bit larger and heavier than Poqet Classic which I got, but it's also more useful in terms of things it can run. And the active matrix color LCD is, although very small, quite wonderful. As for touch-typing, it depends on the size of your fingers. ------------- clip here with virtual scissors -------------- ************************************************************ Keyboard stuck error.
