(not for sale). It works great for SRAM cards, but I haven't figured out how to format Flash Cards. Anybody able to help? Thanks, Ken Peterson. P.S. when I figure out how, I'll post my complete introduction message, which bounced back to me last week when I "signed up". Introducing myself. by K. Peterson From: "K. Date: Wed, 13 Nov 1996 23:30:44 -0800 (PST) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Today's traffic encouraged me to try again to follow the suggestion in the "welcome message" and greet whoever really is out there. I'm Ken Peterson, a retired Boeing employee. I have a Poqet PQ0164 which I use for word processing when away from home. My wife also has one which she uses principally for appointment keeping. Both were purchased from Cal Digital the winter of 1994. My big question is whether I can and how I can use the 2 meg flash cards I bought from CD. I purchased a PREMAX/CARDTALK PC PCMCIA drive & a couple of cards from them, and haven't successfully formatted them, even though there is an entry of "Poqet" in the format options of the software for flash cards that came with the drive (Socket.) CD has offerred to refund, but it took me a long time to contact them, and I'd rather get the cards working than take advantage of their goodwill. The flash cxards are Type I made by CARDWELL International. (model 10230-1). Any suggestions? Only bad part: it continuously refreshes the CGA screen, so it probably eats batteries a little. It is a winner, however with international students who want to learn a little about Western civilization. I found that files transferred has always two or three extra bytes than the original. Been using it since 1991 on several Poqet PC's. I saw a trade journal comment about Ken doing some internet software development. Haven't talked to him in years. I sould trust what ever he builds, cause Eye Relief works as advertised. John O
