Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, and scientist. He was born in Smilja, Croatia on July 9, 1856 and died on January 7, 1943 in New York City.

He was often sick during his boyhood, but he was a bright student with a photographic memory. Against his father's wishes he chose a career in electrical engineering.

After his graduation from the University of Prague in 1880, Tesla worked as a telephone engineer in Budapest, Hungary. By 1882 he had devised an AC power system to replace the weak direct-current (DC) generators and motors then in use.

Tesla moved to the United States in 1884, where he worked for Thomas Edison who quickly became a rival. Edison being an advocate of the inferior DC power transmission system. During this time, Tesla was commissioned with the design of the AC generators installed at Niagara Falls.

Friction soon developed between the two, and by 1886 Tesla had lost his job.

In 1887 he received enough money from backers to build a laboratory of his own in New York City.

In1888 his discovery that a magnetic field could be made to rotate if two coils at right angles are supplied with AC current 90� out of phase made possible the invention of the AC induction motor. The major advantage of this motor being its brushless operation, which many at the time believed impossible.

Tesla later invented a high-frequency transformer, called the Tesla Coil, which made AC power transmission practical. He also experimented with radio and designed an electronic tube for use as the detector in a voice radio system almost 20 years before Lee De Forest developed a similar device. Tesla lectured before large audiences of scientists in the United States and Europe between the years 1891 and 1893.

George Westinghouse purchased the patents to his induction motor, and made it the basis of the Westinghouse power system which still underlies the modern electrical power industry today.

Tesla did notable research on high-voltage electricity and wireless communication; at one point creating an earthquake which shook the ground for several miles around his New York laboratory.

Tesla also devised a system which anticipated world-wide wireless communications, fax machines, radar, radio-guided missiles and aircraft.

Although Tesla had laid the theoretical basis for radio communication as early as 1892, Guglielmo Marconi claimed all basic radio patents because of his own pioneering work in the field.

In 1915 Tesla made an unsuccessful attempt to obtain a court injunction against the claims of Marconi. When the United States Supreme Court reviewed this decision in 1943, however, it reversed the decision and invalidated Marconi's patents on the ground that they had indeed been anticipated by earlier work.

Tesla and Edison supposedly had been chosen to share a Nobel prize in physics. According to the report, Tesla declined his share of the award because of his doubt that Edison was a scientist in the strictest sense. Neither of them ever received the prize.

During his later years he led a secluded, eccentric, and often destitute life, nearly forgotten by the world he believed would someday honor him.

Tesla died on Jan. 7, 1943, in New York City. The Tesla Museum in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, was dedicated to the inventor.

In 1956 the Tesla, a unit of magnetic flux density in the metric system, was named in his honor.

Nikola Tesla, the inventor, has filed patent applications on the essential parts of a machine the possibilities of which test a layman's imagination and promise a parallel of Thor's shooting thunderbolts from the sky to punish those who had angered the gods. Suffice it to say that the invention will go through space with a speed of 300 Miles Per Second, a manless ship without propelling engine or wings, sent by electricity to any desired point on the globe on its errand of destruction, if destruction its manipulator wishes to effect.

[That is 18,000 miles per minute which is around our globe in under a minute and a half - or aimed directly through the globe - as most of Testla's patents were claimed to do - in 27 seconds. beth]

"'It is not a time,' said Dr. Tesla yesterday, 'to go into the details of this thing. It is founded upon a principle that means great things in peace; it can be used for great things in war. But I repeat, this is no time to talk of such things.'

'It is perfectly practicable to transmit electrical energy without wires and produce destructive effects at a distance. I have already constructed a wireless transmitter which makes this possible, and have described it in my technical publications, among which / refer to my patent number 1,1 19,732 recently granted.

With a transmitter of this kind we are enabled to project electrical energy in any amount to any distance [HAARP's output is a full gigawatt, b] and apply it for innumerable purposes, both in war and peace.

Through the universal adoption of this system, ideal conditions for the maintenance of law and order will be realized, for then the energy necessary to the enforcement of right and justice will be normally productive, yet potential, and in any moment available, for attack and defense. The power transmitted need not be necessarily destructive, for, if distance is made to depend upon it, its withdrawal or supply will bring about the same results as those now accomplished by force of arms.

New York Time - September 22, 1940:

Nikola Tesla, one of the truly great inventors who celebrated his eighty-fourth birthday on July 10, tells the writer that he stands ready to divulge to the United States Government the secret of his "teleforce," with which, he said, airplane motors would be melted at a distance of 250 miles, so that an invisible Chinese Wall of Defense would be built around the country.

This teleforce, he said, is based on an entirely new principle of physics that 'no one has ever dreamed about,' different from the principle embodied in his inventions relating to the transmission of electrical power from a distance, for which he has received a number of basic patents. This new type of force, Mr. Tesla said, would operate through a beam one hundred-millionth of a square centimeter in diameter, and could be generated from s special plant that would cost no more than $2,000,000 and would take only about three months to construct.

The beam, he states, involves four new inventions, two of which already have been tested. One of these is a method of apparatus for producing rays 'and other manifestations or energy' in free air, eliminating the necessity for a high vacuum; a second is a method and process for producing 'very great electrical force'; the third is a method for amplifying this force, and the fourth is a new method for producing 'a tremendous electrical repelling force.' This would be the projector, or gun, of the system. The voltage for propelling the beam to its objective, according to the inventor, will attain a potential of 50,000,000 volts.

With this enormous voltage, he said, microscopic electrical particles of matter will be catapulted on their mission of defensive destruction. He has been working on this invention, he added, for many years and has recently made a number of improvements in it."

Tesla held over forty U.S. patents (circa 1888) covering our entire system of Polyphase Alternating Current (AC). These patents are so novel that nobody could ever challenge them in the courts.

Tesla's four-tuned circuits (two on the receiving side and two on the transmitting side, secured by U.S. patents #645,576 and #649,621) were the basis of the U.S. Supreme Court decision (Case #369 decided June 21, 1943) to overturn Marconi's basic patent on the invention of radio.

    "In our dynamo machines, it is well known, we generate alternate currents which we direct by means of a commutator, a complicated device and, it may be justly said, the source of most of the troubles experienced in the operation of the machines. Now, the currents, so directed cannot be utilized in the motor, but must - again by means of a similar unreliable device - be reconverted into their original state of alternate currents. The function of the commutator is entirely external, and in no way does it affect the internal workings of the machines.

    "In reality, therefore, all machines are alternate current machines, the currents appearing as continuous only in the external circuit during the transfer from generator to motor.     Nikola Tesla worked with time travel technology. Some poeple beileve his information supposedly came from entities from other realms.

    Part of the information was supposedly later used by Albert Einstein and others involved with the Philadelphia Experiment and other space/time projects.

    There is not physical evidnec eot substantiate these facts.

    Tesla was a man of vision who saw beyond the realm of third dimension. He was a genius and with all geniuses believed in endless possibilities.
