From: EvangeList To: "Macway" Subject: !! - Macs vs the IRS Message-ID: <199704020359.TAA29970@scv3.apple.com> This action item is from: Leon J. Ablon, As a business owner I signed up for EFTPS (Electronic Federal Tax Payment System) to deposit our monthly taxes to the IRS using our personal computers. I was not thrilled when the software that came was Windows only. I requested Mac software from EFTPS and was informed that there was no such thing since _most_ businesses are run on Windows machines. [Aside: It's interesting to note that you can communicate with EFTPS in English or Spanish even though _most_ US business owners speak English. You can also communicate with EFTPS over TDD if you are hearing impaired, even though _most_ US business owners can hear quite well.] When I asked where I should direct my complaints, I was told to call the IRS. Who at the IRS? They didn't know. I would say this is gross discrimination by the IRS and the Federal Government against a significant minority of its citizens. If anyone out there knows who should be contacted to correct this oversight please post it here so we can direct our protests effectively. ________________ Do you believe in Macintosh?
