Au1100s.112 net.general utzoo!decvax!ucbvax!mhtsa!ihnss!npois!u1100s!mp Tue Dec 22 09:18:44 1981 minor bug in readnews In my installation of Version B on u1100s (a UNIVAC 1100/62 system running the UNIX (1100) operating system) a bug in "readnews" appeared when trying to cancel an article. The symptom was a message that readnews "could not execute /usr/lbin/inews". The problem turned out to be a missing terminator in the call to execl within the "cancel" subroutine in the file readr.c (section 2 of UNIX ref man says execl requires a 0 to terminate arg list; this was missing in the version distributed to me). Apparently UNIX systems on PDP equipment are tolerant of this minor error.
