This newsgroup is great, but it makes me hungry every time I read it. The following recipe for french toast is very sweet. I have had other variations, including a California version with sourdough bread. This version is the most impressive looking, and is not very hard to make---good for company. INGREDIENTS: 1 Tbs. Butter (or grease, etc.) 2 Eggs 1 cup Orange Juice 2 Tbs. Cinnamon 1 cup Graham Cracker Crumbs 8 slices Raisin Bread ALGORITHM: 1) Put butter in frying pan and start heating. 2) Beat eggs---add orange juice and cinnamon. 3) Spread graham cracker crumbs on a dinner plate. 4) WHILE (There is bread left to cook.) DO BEGIN 4a) Dip bread in egg-and-OJ mixture. 4b) Coat bread with crumbs. 4c) Fry bread in pan until golden brown. 5) Serve with maple syrup, powdered sugar or whatever. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
