Character quality is good in all modes, best at 30 or 36 lines. 12 key keypad fully programmable; small case (14 inch cube); detachable keyboard; VT100 compatibility mode (with VT52 compat mode); push/pop line commands; attributes: bold, blink, rev. video, underlined, concealed, all combinations of above; printer port standard; both simultaneous send/recieve mode and monitor (buffered) send recieve mode ( = forms fillout mode); operator conveniance features: underscore or block cursor, blinking or not, wrap on either margin, slow scroll mode, auto-pause mode, fast or slow key repeat, fully programmable tab stops Keyboard has reasonably good feel, choice of keyclick or not, non-volatile memory for mode settings, power-up string, all sorts of other goodies. Note that this is not a graphics terminal and it is not compatible with HP anything. It is, however, compatible with the ANSII standard, which seems to be taking over the business. 'Vi' runs just great on it. Only botch is that the keyboard is connected to the terminal box with a ribbon cable. Service: no field service, although the terminal is very simple and reliability is very good. At the price you can buy a spare and ship boards back to the factory. Does not have: fonts, real windows, additional memory, graphics. (although you can get instructions for burning your own font roms) Steve: I mailed this to ucbvax!info-terms. If this was not right, would you resubmit it for me?
