Maybe its my lack of general experience, but this is the first time I have seen someone publicly admit to failing to realize that arbitrary graphs and structures may be implemented using the binary trees LISP provides. I hope you didn't make it a cornerstone of your thesis. Maybe this isn't what you were trying to say.
